I've seen other videos of this. It's pretty important for wild ones to learn to flip themselves without aid. However, self flipping usually relies on some plant or rock being available to push off.

 

Tortoise keepers can become very stressed about trying to prevent it happening in the first place. The problem is that some tortoises enjoy climbing with inevitable consequences from time to time - I'll include ours in that group!
