OSX 10.10.5 Printer Keeps Pausing

We have a mac mini setup for printing off iPads, to do this with our larger printers we have had to do a colour printer and black and white version to print to. e.g

 

In the printer list we have ; Library B/W and Library Colour.

 

Strange thing occurring where the B/W version on this printer prints fine everything works like normal.

 

The Colour version is saying 'paused' normally when this happens I click resume and it starts working again, not this time it just goes straight back to paused again!!!

We get it occasionally, normally when too many people try to print to the printer at the same time, or it is low/out of toner.

I was having a lot of issues this past week then I noticed that for some reason my printers flipped over to using IPP printing. Once I re-added them at LPD all printers started printing again.

How do I change this on a mac? do I have to remove the printer and re-add it?

 

Also the printer is well stocked with toner at the moment so it's not that problem :/
