Signing Out Tablets/devices

Morning All,

 

We have a few class sets of various devices which are booked out using the always-recommendable roombookingsystem.

 

The problem we have got is actually getting them to classes. The charging stations aren't portable so they need to be collected at the start of lesson. Sometimes they are used for consecutive lessons, and so won't always be collected from the charging stations. Staff are usually teaching back-to-back lessons (the timetable here is quite tight) and so don't always have time to collect in between lessons.

 

One set is located in our office at present which isn't always ideal, as a team of two there are times when the room is locked when they need to be collected.

 

Has anyone got any solutions or suggestions to a more workable solution than this?

Digital leaders - assign specfic members of students responsibilties to collect the devices. We tend to say book for a double as we only have 2 periods between breaks and lunches. We also say when staff book the iPads they state what room the are using them in and the staff using them after them is responsible for collecting them from that lesson by student 1 or 2 responsible stduents.
