m2d2 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) We have a intermittent problem where mapped drives are missing from logon sessions. Logging in again normally sorts it out but it can be problem if you have started a piece of work before you notice that there are no network drives. I am wondering if this is a general problem with GP processing or just something to do with asynchronous scriping timings (I seem to recall once drives appearing after long delay of 5 minutes or more). Would using admin templates be more reliable? Thanks in advance Edited January 29, 2008 by m2d2 typo
mattx Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I always find it more reliable to use logon scripts than a GP setting. Have you considered this approach at all ?
boomam Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 We use login scripts here also, with a large kix script specifying mappings based on user group. Apart from when a computer doesnt have a network connection, it gets the mapping 99% of the time..
