How many times does some say do you have a lightning or MicroUSB cable? Well ive just seen this.. Have an Android? Have an iPhone? This miracle charging cable doesn't care | TechRadar

Clever I guess but it defeats the main feature of a lightning cable in that it's not reversible any more.

That wouldn't bother me if i could use it in an emergency, i'd just have to carry one cable around with me.

What about a micro USB cable + £1.39 Lightning adapter? Technically that's still one cable.

 

It's a single cable connector that works for Lightning and micro USB devices.

^ ...and completely useless if you have Android smartphones with USB-C connectors!

To be honest, when i saw this i thought what a good idea, now thinking about it, they are a bit late to the show. Now a Lightning, microusb and usb-c would be cool.

I have seen something called MagCable, which looks a good idea https://youtu.be/UWJFG3YNRGg but its fairly expensive.

If you're anything like me the time you actually need the cable you've ended up leaving it at home / work / at a mates anyway! (No matter how many you own!)

 

I find with the iPhone I have to try and remember to have an iPad style charger handy as it can give my 6+ a nice quick boost rather than the trickle charge that my PC provides to it
