Hi All,

So, I've got several EB-470's almost all are flickering. - I read on here to put them in to ECO mode. This DID cure the issue.

What is the significance of putting in to ECO mode? Is the bulb on its way out or the projector?

Any advice would be great.

Thank you

Hi,

How many hours have the lamps done? how old are the projectors?

Get in contact with Epson and see what they say, We have 100+ Epson projectors and the support is very good.

Hi Jon,

I cant say how old they are as ive only been here 14 months or so. I suspect 4 years+. The have about 2500 hours on the bulbs.

Just wondering if the ballast units are failing?

I've got the EB475Wi's and some have started to flicker after 3 years. Putting them in ECO "helps" but ultimately it's a new bulb required. Thankfully mine all have 2 years left of the Lamp warranty so once I'm made aware of one I pop it into ECO mode and speak to Epson via the online chat thingy. Next day normally a lamp arrives.

Hills Components are pretty good for lamps if your out of warranty.

Thanks for the heads up Jon,

I use JP-UK for bulbs, have had a great relationship with them for many years :)
