Ok, so we currently have a 2011 mac mini with apple configurator 1.7 running on it. We have just taken delivery of a new and much faster Mac Mini.

The idea was we would use the old mac mini to continue managing our older iPads and the new mac mini for our latest iPads. The problem is we recently found out that you can't use the same VPP account on two different configurators.

My question now is whats the best thing to do. Can I move the files/folders to the new mini or does it have to be a full time machine backup and restore. I would rather it continue as a clean install and just copy folders across if possible.

Any help or advice on anyone who has done this will be appreciated.

Many thanks

Chris

Here is what apple says.

You can also take a look at this.

Ideally you would like to start fresh with a new OSX install but I think you can not download Apple Configurator 1.7.2 from the macstore anymore. It means you will need to move on to AC2 and I personally hate it !

It seems like TimeMachine is probably your best option i'm afraid.
