Gaining Access to a Server (03)

Well, most servers you can update the bios from within the bios menu itself... is that an option?

But obviously you would need the 03 ISO

I might be stating the obvious but how about restoring the file from backup? I also assuming you are going to say there is no archive backup.

Have you tried knoppix? This is for this sort of task

Onboard RAID by the looks of things.

No archive backup of it.

Does seem to indicate a faulty CD drive - does it spin up when trying to boot from CD, or just skip it and go straight to HD boot? Worth opening it up and checking the cable isn't loose, and if you've got one hook in a different CD drive. I use Hiren Boot CD for "rescues" like this, a great combination of tools to get me out of most holes I've dug myself into...
