mrbios Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I hate this junk.....it keeps timing out all the damn time! It doesn't seem to be due to saturation of bandwidth or that the site is struggling. Has anyone else overcome this? 90% of the time just pressing "reload" sorts it, but on the odd occasion they just get sat on a "processing...." screen that takes forever to load, and there's no refresh available for that one.
synaesthesia Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yes, we get that quite often. Glad we're not alone by any means!
ifarmery Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 We have this too, changed to IE 11 and New smoothwall over half term so thought it was due to this. Tried chrome still no joy. Enlights/BCS tell me they have no issues and sent me the initial setup guide again. I have noticed that all traffic hits our smoothwall as unauthenticated and never as the user.
mrbios Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Sounds like you've got an auth problem there, just checked mine and they're definitely showing up as authenticated users..... BUT you've just perked my curiousity, I'm checking the logs and finding some peculiar entries that i want to investigate. Check this out: Odd. They appear intermittently throughout the logs of that one user, what is :812?

mrbios Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Can I ask, are you using the smoothwall login scripts for your authentication? Transparent proxy and AD group integration.
jonnykewell1 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I got this back after about 2 months. Could you please run a demo test using the Java Free plugin, and get the following log file after being faced with this screen please: C:\Users\their_user\AppData\Local\Temp\inapp.log Will have to try check when I get a minute and see what's in the log.
Ryan233 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 We have been running these tests for sometime now and we have never had many issues at all. We are running the software on Standalone computers.
Whisky Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 We are currently do these at the moment and are experiencing the same issue. Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this?
Reverend_Dan Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Since installing PSI-Extension for chrome haven't had any issues (than the usual disappearing windows)
Whisky Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 We are use the PSI plugin for IE11. We will be running another one tomorrow so will wait and see if we experience the same issues.
