IAMCloud_Curt Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016  This little windows is getting rather annoying now, for myself & everyone who uses our iMacs/Macbooks. I know a little bit about Macs and I've tried a few things already. Was just wondering if anyone has had this before and actually successfully fixed it, seems like inputting the password it disappears, but log onto another account on the same Mac and it will popup again. We have a SmoothWall UTM-1000 inplace, with a Mac Server, if anyone needs to know anything about my current setup, please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks in advance!
ass17 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Try looking into ident or Kerberos, if you insist on NTLM then you could use authoxy

ass17 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Client software only, you could try deploystudio to push it out, but I'm pretty sure you still have to manually configure it once installed, it's years since I've used it but all the info should be on Google.
Achandler Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 If you swap to Kerberos you can can deploy the Smoothwall Cert easily with a mac server.

Mustang Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 You need to enable Kerberos authentication proxy on your Smoothwall and then set the Macs to point to the Kerberos proxy. Depending on your version of OS X you might just get away with enabling the DHCP WPAD option and let the Macs pick it up. The Smoothwall Cert is not needed for Kerberos authentication, its needed for SSL decryption.
ass17 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 https://blog.night-shade.org.uk/2014/01/smoothwall-in-a-heterogeneous-network/ if it's still relevant
ijk Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 We use identd (provided here: identD – Yosemite : How-To | MacMax.Org identD – Yosemite : How-To | Mac, iBidules & plein de trucs…), deploy it with ARD and accept that it provides identification and not authentication.
