Just trying to ensure all computers have Sophos Anti Virus installed and reporting to the console over the half term holidays, getting an error on all endpoints though :

"a0580006 Web Protection Error (Incompatible Program : LanSchool Student)

Any idea how to exclude LanSchool or disable the Web Protection within Sophos?

HI,

Lanschool are a competitor of ours, but they aren't the only classroom app to have been flagged by Sophos, t.b.h i think the issue is with how Sophos hook into web filtering, so any other apps that do the same via an LSP ( i.e Classroom management tools monitoring classroom web use) can cause a conflict.

Lanschool do provide some feedback on this here https://helpdesk.stone-ware.com/portal/helpcenter/articles/student-machine-using-sophos-and-disappears-from-teacher

They are a competitor, but as Edugeek seems to be much more focused on supporting each other, i'll do the same.

I think you just need to exclude LanSchool's executable file in the On-Access etc... This should be possible in the policies on your Enterprise Console :)

I have a very old LanSchool client on my Pen, and a Standalone SAV10.3 so I'll see if I can replicate the issue
