MrJDH Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Can anyone recommend any malware protection for servers? I ask as there doesn't appear to be much on the subject, after Googling. Many thanks.
Roberto Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 What do you mean by "malware protection"? There are plenty of antivirus options out there that will install onto a server quite cheerfully... admittedly the free ones tend not to (but aren't most of those licenced for just home use?)
cpjitservices Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 You could purchase malwarebytes ? ESET do a good product which covers all bases for servers. File Server Security For Business | ESET File Server Security | ESET https://www.malwarebytes.org/business/antimalware/
speckytecky Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 We have MalwareBytes on all our servers. I've been amazed at the intrusions it has picked up and stopped. Bought an annual licence that covers 10 machines for something like £150 a year - has to be paid for online by a card in US $.
Quatermass Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 @speckytecky : We have AV but were looking at sticking MBAM on either our admin stations, or our servers, or both, as "belt and braces". A few questions below if you have a moment as I found MBAM's site a tad confusing regarding business/consumer/versions etc. Where did you get MBAM from? Did you just get 10 ordinary "consumer" subscriptions or is there some kind of business licence? Are you running 10 separate installs or is there some kind of overall console? Thanks.
