New switch time. Maybe Ubiquiti?

I've been pretty tempted by the edgeswitches, however the lack of warranty has so far kept me away. HP Procurve/ Aruba = lifetime, only 1 year for unproven reliability could make these things very expensive in the long run. Specifications look great, I just need more convincing!

Yeah I had a think about this too. Lifetime warranty is great but how long are you really going to keep your switches for? Not your lifetime right?

 

I took the gamble for the great specs/price vs warranty. Hope I made the right decision :S

We went for the 48 port PoE edgeswitch to replace 3 100Mb switches and a series of daisy chained PoE mini switches for WiFi. The performance is much better but as said, they can be really noisy, although on other sites we have the 24 port version and this is almost silent, just as shame they don't have the 10Gb connection
