fiza Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Is there any way in SIMS to alert the attendance officer if a student was marked as in school during registration but then subsequently marked absent for the next lesson or any lesson in the morning? I know it should be the teachers responsibility to notice the fact that the student was in for registration but is now missing from lessons. Any 3rd party apps that would interrogate sims and alert the attendance officer?
DSapseid Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 You can view a list of a students with different marks between sessions/lesson in Reports->Lesson Monitor->Selected Student Reports-> Compare Marks by column report. I dont know if you could automate this using the command exporter and then interrogate it from there. Ive never used the command exporter (think its called that anyway!) 1
Barcrest Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I have a report that pulls out the AM/PM marks to a CSV file. I was using this as a way of having access to those marks in the event of a fire, it could probably be tweaked to show lesson marks as well. Then you could just write a small VB program to interrogate that CSV and send an email in the event of a mark hitting a certain criteria. I used the task manager and the command line reporting tool to automate the generating of the CSV. 1
PhilNeal Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 We do not have an automatic alert for this, however, we do have a report that can be run, it is the ‘Compare marks by Column report, it will highlight those student that have received a mark in the day and then gone absent in a subsequent lesson or session registration. 1
