andyturpie Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Morning, Going back we purchased a 600 seat licence for MS Office 2010 pro plus (I cannot remember the correct terminology for the type of licence - It was purchased a month or so before MS launched the EES system) - The last few months it had been failing activation and we had been going to our reseller to get it activated. The brick wall we have it is that on this old portal, there is no one left working for the company registered to deal with our agreement. I have tried contacting MS and there is very little they can do for me (I asked them if the key had been blacklisted, they said no and they say there are 1,200 activations still to be used). The chap who has been looking at it for me from the reseller has tried as much as he can as well and is hitting his head against a brick wall - just wondering what is the best way to escalate this as we have a product in which we paid £21,000 which we cannot use at the moment? Any advice welcome Thanks!
Grey-gear Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Is your proxy or firewall blocking the address for the activations? Sorry if this is no help. 1
sted Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 what happends if you try phone activation on one? 1
andyturpie Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 @Grey-gear definitely not the proxy server, have tried another key to test. @sted - It is an RM curriculum pack, I will check but I am pretty sure you cannot see the telephone activation choice? I could be wrong.
andyturpie Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Our curriculum pack has SP1 integrated and we have the SP2 update allocated as a separate update.
pantscat Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Okey-dokey! Try turning off UAC, and running Word as administrator and then adding they key and activating. 1
CAWJames Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Do you have the old admins email address, if so, attach to your own, retrieve the password and your in, or is that too simplistic? This is how I got access, although many moons and rotations ago! 1
andyturpie Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Cheers guys, I must stress this is a procedural issue not technical, @CAW-James no one at the school is in the agreement plus all the employees at the reseller who are listed have now left, making this a complete ball ache to resolve. But they are trying..
