Right now we map drives to SharePoint Online libraries to allow organisations to have multiple shared areas. We use Cloud Drive Mapper with SharePoint internally in our company so I can vouch for its usefulness. We're looking at functionality to be able to map drives to specific folders as well in future, and all suggestions are duly noted regarding added functionality.
