What does everyone use to host their wordpress sites? - Self hosting won't be an option.

I've some experience with using wordpress.com to create pretty basic sites and hosting it there. But a friends asked me to help him set up a website, so I'll probably be going down the wordpress.org route and hosting it elsewhere.

We use Siteground. Very good 24/7 support, will install and update Wordpress for you and now allow you to have a free ssl certificate for your site as well. Lot of easy backend control from their control panel. Start at about £2.75 pm.

If you're up for setting up the server yourself DigitalOcean are really good. (Added my referral code, get $10 of credit) ;)

There tutorials are excellent to if your not so good with Linux. They also pre-configured droplets (VMs) with things like Wordpress pre installed.

Two possible options:

Heart Internet - I used to work for them, stable servers and UK based in both hardware location and support.

Tsohost - Also UK based, not used them myself but I know many people who do and it comes highly recommended.

I use Smart Hosting. It's really cheap, with very good support and offers unlimited webspace, bandwidth and websites for just £2.49/Month (Ex VAT). You can also get a free .co.uk or .com domain or transfer your own on when you sign up.
