Please can anyone recommend a good (not too expensive) A3 printer to be used by the fabric teacher. She uses Speedstep.

Currently it doesn't need to be a networkable machine but the option would be nice.

Thanks:)

we use HP BusinessJet 2800's in our textiles rooms. Cheap inks and stuff... expensive to buy though at around £580. Thats for the dtn model though...

NNNNNOOOOOO!!!! We hate them. They are always jamming and run out of ink way to fast.

wow... ours don't print reams off ours though... because they have a cheapo black and white laser for that!

Think it's only jammed twice in the last 2 years we've had it.

You might want to try a different brand of paper and see if that helps cure it. A lot of HP printers have paper feed issues but many users have reported that a little experimentation with paper media has produced better results.

As I understand it the rollers can pick up a lot of residue from some papers (something to do with the way the paper is made) and that tends to create pick-up and feed issues over time.

Worth a try if nought else..

Thanks, I had hoped there was an HP which would do the job - I do have a couple of old b&w lasers so I could install one as well which would help the ink issue
