Bandwidth Management

Hi:

We have 20mb internet and we are really suffering because of the over usage by some employees

Is there a free or open source solution of bandwidth management to limit users and groups to a limited bandwidth

We are using Server 2012R2

Is there anything on your firewall/filtering device that you might be able to usem

If you have a managed wireless systems, you should be able to throttle their phones/tablets and such Gives a sadistic thrill when you throttle your clients!

 

I mean... I don't throttle them for pleasure!

I would be careful doing anything on wi-fi the function may be there but on a bussy wifi network it will make the wi-fi busier.

We have cisco controller for wifi network and palo alto firewalls

we have around 1500 users

i couldnt control the bandwidth via palo alto thus i was looking for a cheaper and better solution for bandwidth management

I thought it odd that the Palo Alto couldn't do QoS so a quick google and it does.
