Computer Age in Human Years

Not sure if this question has been asked on here before, but while trying to resurrect a computer from the dead and thinking just how slow it was running the thought accorded to me…

 

What would the age of a computer be in human years?

 

A quick look on Google would suggest about 19 for every 1 human year!

 

If that is the case, then this computer sat at the side of me should have had a Birthday Card from the Queen last summer!

Maybe a few years ago this had been true, with Moore's law being more accurate then, but over the past few years we have hit a slow down and the life span of machines seems a lot longer than that of their predecessors.

 

Heck, I'm typing this off a 2010 i7 MBP and this thing is still quick!

I think we should create some sort of formulae to calculate a computers 'human age' based on things like 'cost when new' and how much it gets 'hammered' and 'quality of life'
