speckytecky Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Thanks for posting this @DaveP When I was in the Royal Air Force I was lucky enough to serve at RAF Saxa Vord on Unst (that wonderful but very windy island at he top of the Shetlands). Best posting I had in my 23 years service. Mindful of that I was looking forward to the earlier BBC offerings of Shetland but was totally disappointed with it. I was hopeful it would be fast paces and interesting like the Scandinavian cop dramas. I don't know if it was the story line of Shetland or choice of main actors but I was left very wanting - a pity I felt as it failed to offer a true reflection of the great people and part of the UK that it is.
ZeroHour Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I am from Shetland, I think the tagline "Life on the edge" is rather ROFL!!! 2
