Hi All,,

When staff are on the school BYOD WIFi https://email.domain.co.uk doesn't work and same on the mobile phones, but will work when staff are at home internet or on 4g.

We have smoothwall but unfortunately no credits left so they won't help us.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

What version of Exchange?

Does your internal dns point email.domain.co.uk at your exchange server or are you using smoothwall as your dns server

Sounds like a DNS issue what IP does DNS check throw up if you connect a Laptop to the BYOD? You will need to put something in DNS to either make it lookup the IP or some rules in Smoothwall to let it go round in a circle if your publishing exchange via Smoothwall.

This will have been answered on here several times on here im sure :)

This!

If you fix this a firewall rule could also be stopping the traffic. If you go to Zone Bridging you can add a rule in.
