I am trying to build a Fujitsu A514 onto a CC4 network.

I have added Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller drivers, created a new custom build disk and updated WDS to use the new disk for F12 building.

But the network card is not showing in diagnostics - Only the Wireless Network Card is showing.

In installed devices it is showing as a PCI device and not a network card and I am wondering if thats what the problem might be. Card is a Realtek 8168.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and has a possible solution. I also tried disabling the wireless in the BIOS, and only difference that made is its now not showing in Network adaptors. I am guessing it would still be showing in network adaptors (in diagnostics) even if it did not have drivers available and that is not happening.

Are there any recent RM driver packs that might help?

I think we had a similar problem with this type of Realtek NIC on HP.250 G2.

It's also worth trying a CC4 boot disk/usb to try and narrow it down.

I think we ended up trying various drivers until we hit that worked.

Thanks for reply. I'll be honest and say the support contract has just ended, but not worth signing up for another year as a new system is shortly being installed.

I think its a problem with an old version of Windows PE 2 trying to be used. I am guessing the network card is not detected in Windows Vista or another issue with the build manager that stops it from being seen. Vista drivers for the NIC where loaded, but like I say it just was not seeing the network card, rather than not seeing the drivers.

Tried it with Windows PE 3.1 where it is now seeing the network card, but still not seeing the drivers. I left the server installing the latest Realtek 8168 windows 7 32 bit drivers tonight. For some reason these seem to take an age to load and had not loaded by the time I left.

if worse comes to worse I will smartclient, but last smartclient I tried fell over.
