Recommend me.....

A reasonably priced camera / video camera that I can record our Christmas show with.

 

I just want to be able to stick 2 or 3 on tripods around the hall - point click and leave running for an hour and a half.

 

I'm sure there is another thread like this but my search skills are lacking today.

We seem to be getting on okay with a couple of Panasonic HC-V270's:

We have two of those recording the nativity in the main hall as I type, and they've already recorded 2 nativities and 3 pantos this week. Both picture and sound quality are great - I haven't seen the footage myself, but the chap who videod it all was impressed by the quality. We use 64GB cards in ours. You could also get monopods with feet rather than tripods, they take up a little less space in a hall, and a USB external battery for extended run-times.

If you are looking at cameras the Panasonic HC-V270 and HC-V770 are great cameras at sensible prices with great features.
