Abaddon Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) I, along with many other MG convertible owners from different clubs, will be driving a complete lap of the M25, at 10.30pm on 20th February 2016, whatever the weather, with the roof down. This is in support of UK Homes for Heroes, who are a small charity that helps homeless ex service personnel of which there are an estimated 4,500 currently in the UK. The roof down part is, in some small way, to show the conditions that these people have to live in every night – especially at this time of year when it is cold, windy and wet. This is now an annual event, and one of the small ways that I can show gratitude for the part they have played in keeping us safe, and, hopefully, get at least some of them a roof over their heads. My page is here: https://www.justgiving.com/Ian-Trevena I and the people I am supporting thank you for any donation you can make. Thank you. Edited November 25, 2015 by elsiegee40
mikkydoos Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 A lap of the M25? That'll take about 3 weeks Good luck m8 1
Abaddon Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 It's possible, although we're hoping that it'll be only a couple of hours!
rad Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 My god, I'd be bored, bad enough doing J16-28 to go and see relatives. 117 miles is the total distance. Where are you starting and which direction?
Abaddon Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 It's starting at South Mimms, direction I am unsure of yet. Knowing my luck, it'll be a snowstorm.
mikkydoos Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Guy that owns my local garage has got an absolutely mint MG Midget. Grey with an oxblood leather interior. Its gorgeous
