genesis Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Hi We have exchange 2007 and outlook 2010 in our network. We have a mail box called “CPDS” within our organisation. I would like to achieve 2 things: 1) Any one emails [email protected] mail address, this mail must be forwarded to a distribution group called "CPStaffs” and within the "CPStaffs” distribution group there are 4 recipients. 2) Also any one emails [email protected] mail address,a CC must go to the another user mail address within the same domain ie [email protected]. Please help, is there a way to achieve this. Any tutorials much appreciated. Thanks in advance
ITGURU Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 In the properties of the mail account in the exchange console there is a mailflow option. From in there you can select an email address to forward any emails to and also choose whether to deliver to the main mailbox as well or just where the copy is sent to. I think you may also be able to do the same using transport roles.
genesis Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Thanks on the CPDS mailbox, I have set a mail forward to the CPStaffs distribution group. Not sure as how to setup , so that the same mail is CCd to another user in the domain.
ITGURU Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 When you do through the management console I think you can only set it to forward to one user/group. 2 options here depending on your setup. Create a new distribution group containing both the CPStaffs Distribution group members AND the other user, and set this as the group to forward to. or If the CPDS is a user, you could log on as this user, open up outlook and create rules to send the message to all the necessary users. Hope this helps.
