Palto Alto Blocking Data downloads from website

We have KS5 students using the website Gapminder: Unveiling the beauty of statistics for a fact based world view. they can access the site ,but when they try to download Excel data from the data link on the site its blocked.

The Palo alto firewall has this site allowed in objects /URL filtering. Do we have to allow data downloads for this specific website ?

Are you also able to download docx documents and ZIP files as a student? Have you done a PanOS update recently?

 

Palo has historically had issues seeing them as compressed archives and blocked them in line with blocking zip and rar files?

It could be our group policies stopping them downloading the files. The Palo Alto firewall is very powerful but It can be a juggling act getting everything working as you would wish!
