I've seen loads online, but I watched with ESO how many people got banned for keys bought with dodgy creditcards from seemingly legit websites. I am asking as steam prices are usually steep unless there is a sale on, and my sister in law wants to grab a few games for my brother a little cheaper than normal.

Geoff Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 It's not really steam, it's down to the publishers. They don't like it if you are avoiding region markups or release dates. I've previously bought out of region keys once. For Battlefield 4 from CJS Keys. I ended up with a Russian region key and it has worked fine. YMMV however.
GTX Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I use G2A. Just make sure you pay the £1 somthing shield to protect yourself. If the game key doesnt work they will refund you fully.
GuyJD Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I think the general consensus from previous discussions was that G2A and Kinguin are the most reliable, both offer buyer insurance but as always check the sellers feedback before buying.

G2play, G2A, Kinguin, Green Man Gaming; all of these are good, G2Play typically is slightly cheaper on some titles. From G2A + G2Play, always get the £0.62 buyer protection so that if your key ever stops working/doesn't work/any hiccups, you get instant choice of another key or a full refund.

localzuk Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 CDKeys took over a month to refund me for a key that didn't work. They give the seller all the power in the transaction. The seller wanted me to contact Ubi support to find out when a key was used and by who! So, yeah, never touching CDKeys again.

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
