Is anybody experiencing DNS issues today? I've had a call from 2 schools who are getting the message "DNS Server Not Responding" in IE and Chrome.

They are connected to the server and can see files & folders, but cannot get online. IP addresses, proxy servers and all other settings look ok. I've tried manual DNS options to no avail.

I'm not on site at either school to try anything else. Was there another dodgy windows 7 update last night?

Thanks,

Kevin

This sounds like an external DNS issue (your Forwarders), rather than internal. If you set your DNS server(s) Forwarders in DNS Server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (if you're able to), does this make any difference?

They use different internet security suites, but I will try the firewall. We did switch Symantec endpoint off at one of them though and it made no difference.
