elsiegee40 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 It looks more like a Harrier jump jet coming in to land. Skilled pilot!
fairm010 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 The skill involved in landing in conditions like that is astounding.
Arreks Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Shudder. I've watched too much Air Crash Investigation..
Oaktech Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) That happens quite a lot... There's a cockpit video on my Facebook somewhere of my mate Bob bringing a 737 into, I think, Las Vegas. At one point, both pilots are looking out the right hand side window because they are so skewed to the runway. Lets just say I have a lot of respect for Bob! This isn't him - his privacy settings are too high to share it, but this is the place and a similar plane! Edited November 17, 2015 by Oaktech
PotNoodleTech Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 This happens every day, it's a complete non issue for the pilots, that was a perfect landing in difficult conditions, which they can do over and over again day in day out.

That may be so, but to non pilots its an incredible sight. Kind of like being in awe of F1 drivers.
