james515002 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hi all, have recently installed HAP + V10 Full on a server 2012 r2, installed iis as videos instructed (from HAP website) have linked to domain and can now log in with domain users. currently domain admins are set to be able to see the Management tile when they log in but they don't! the only way i can get to the setup.aspx page is by changing the web.config to have when i change that section to: no one can access the setup.aspx and the managent section does not show. this is even the case when the network administrator account logs in to, which is in the domain admins group..... any one have any ideas???
nickbro Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Can you check the api at /hap/api/ad/roles/user to see if HAP+ is able to pull all of the groups out of AD successfully. Did you follow the instructions on the setup.aspx page to lock the setup page down?
james515002 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 When i go to /hap/api/ad/roles/user i cant see it linking to AD or pulling the groups down here is what i get -
Token1":null,"Token2":"System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x8007052E): The user name or password is incorrect.\u000d\u000a\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind(Boolean throwIfFail)\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.get_AdsObject()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.PropertyValueCollection.PopulateList()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.PropertyValueCollection..ctor(DirectoryEntry entry, String propertyName)\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.PropertyCollection.get_Item(String propertyName)\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalContext.DoLDAPDirectoryInitNoContainer()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalContext.DoDomainInit()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalContext.Initialize()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalContext.get_QueryCtx()\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.Principal.FindByIdentityWithTypeHelper(PrincipalContext context, Type principalType, Nullable`1 identityType, String identityValue, DateTime refDate)\u000d\u000a at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.UserPrincipal.FindByIdentity(PrincipalContext context, String identityValue)\u000d\u000a at HAP.AD.User.get_UserP()\u000d\u000a at HAP.AD.User.Authenticate(String username, String password)\u000d\u000a at HAP.AD.API.UserGET(String username, String password)","Token2Name":null
and yes i have locked down the setup page but when it is locked down its even locked down for the administrator account....
nickbro Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Ok, you need to update your AD settings as that isn't correct, see Home Access Plus+ - Documentation about changing the admin password
james515002 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 when you mean change the admin password - do you mean re enter the password for the account that links to AD? ive followed the instructions and its still doing the same, not letting showing the management tiles....
