Hi,

I have setup group policy software restrictions to block unwanted file types. It blocks .exe just file. I have added JAR to the designated file types list however files with the .jar extension still run.

Does anyone have any thoughts please?

Thanks

.jar files aren't themselves executable - they are files that the Java Runtime Environment runs. So, blocking them this way won't work.

Your only real way would be to block .jar files from being saved anywhere instead I think!
