MDT 2013 sp1 issues and information and Deploying with UEFI and GPT

This is to share some information of some problems we have had deploying windows 10 using

 

the original 2013 sp1.This may save someone some time!

There is a newer version released

-update-1-re-released-build-8298.aspx which has been released for sometime but we were

 

unaware and was using an old version that contained many bugs.

Newer release contains boot

 

options for BIOS and UEFI so useful if you have mixed environments.

Incidentally if building

 

from a UEFI and GPT setup we are still using a disk part script to clean and convert disk to

 

gpt and create partitions. This installs windows OK but has issues with the boot partition and

 

an extra command to run bcdboot to set the boot enviornment is needed at the end.

I am not sure if this is a workaround or is necessary? Again someone may find it useful if you

have deployed windows 10 in a GPT environment and are unable to boot to windows afterwards.

I woould be interested if anyone had any other information to share or problems encounterd on

 

this.
