From public to private sector

been working in education since i was 19 (now 32) with a small gap working for a firm which worked in education.

looking at other area's but the biggest thing i have found is the "entry requirements" that some firms say is a must have which is a little awkward as i have very little formal training.

Stale is a word i have heard used alot and it is a "thing" which happens alot, id suggest that i am getting to this stage hence the looking at other employment area's.

Being a jack of many trades master of none is what i would consider a double edged sword for some jobs which i have seen advertised.

 

@witch have i read that you offer assistance with CV's as a second / third opinion would be valuable

I do and am happy to offer assistance - pm for address - but mine is a first opinion (seriously though, too many opinions leads to a mixed-up CV!)

fair enough, i have been prepping a new CV for a while and a couple of people i know have offered to look at it, however i think having someone who doesnt know me look at it would be more useful.

My CV style is particularly suited to those who have lots of expertise but few official qualifications

Don't be put off by recruitment companies either, my last two jobs have been via recruitment people as some cooperates (like mine) only recruit that way.

Absolutely - many companies use them instead of doing their own recruitment. It isn't difficult to find a good one. Just remember YOU are in control and YOU decide if you know enough to go to an interview etc
