Solved the question below by using Word List Report and tag, with tags for my data under each photo.

 

If anyone knows how to put in a "PHOTO MISSING" tag for any photos which are, urm, missing, please let me know

Hello,

 

I have a report which is generating Photos, Name and Target Levels for a class.

 

Currently, I have been able to lay it out in columns using the RTF user defined template, with photos in alphabetical order down the page

 

However, what I would like to do is create a table and have each students photo show in one cell of the table with their name and target levels underneath.

 

Also, I would like alpha order to go across the page in rows, then continue on the next row.

 

 

I'm probably asking the impossible, but if anyone is a magician....

If a student does not have a photo on the system, how could I put in a "No photo exists" tag?

I was going to suggest a word list which is how their built in report does it, so it's good you have it sorted now. For missing ones I rely on the blank space to inform them of the obvious. Edited October 31, 2015 by vikpaw

Rather than mess with conditional statements, a quick workaround would be to create an image that states in text No Photo Exists. Run a report for students missing photos, and duplicate loads of copies of that image and name them using the list.

You can bulk upload the photos, so they will come through on the report with the text you want. As and when they are updated, they will be overwritten.

 

I've just used a similar trick for some duplicate Fees records which we couldn't get rid of, but needed an obvious note to all observers that they should also check another person on the system with identical details but a different ID.
