Bulk update of contact details in SIMS

Afternoon wise old folks of SIMS,

 

We have two systems, WBCS PASS for enrolement/billing, etc which the most up-to-date collection of pupil details. Then we have SIMS for everything else, with a massively outdated collection of pupil contact details. WCBS dont offer any syncing to SIMS, so I'm trying to find a system that will do this as a bulk update. Can I upload an XML or CSV file to SIMS containing this info?

Not really anything that is going to be easy. Do you have some unique info that matches exactly in both systems such as a pupilID or Admissions Number that you can use to help match?

Even if you do, you might want to speak to an integrator to help with the process and provide ongoing updates such as SalamanderSoft.

Also @matt40k's SIMS Bulk Import tool may be worth a try, depending upon the level of information you are trying to import.

 

I've successfully used it for importing data into UDF's and staff email addresses.
