MIT App Inventor - Is it working for you?

Hi,

Just a quick question. Is anyone using App Inventor with the emulator, usb tablets, tablets on wifi etc. if so what are you finding is best and most reliable?

 

Also has anyone tried the offline program for App Inventor 2?

We use it inside our programming VMs. It (the emulator) works when I set it up and test it (as a student) and I've not heard anything about it not working.

We got this working by setting up the emulator on one PC updating the software (including emulator) and then copying the emulator file to every PC it needed to go on after install.

 

For some reason the emulator and software are two separate bits of software and they don't bundle the updated emulator with their software.

Thanks howartp, so does your programing VM have access to the network and Internet? ours are locked down so they cannot.
