PrettyWoman Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Evening all .. Is there a way, by not using a marksheet, that a member of staff can view a student's KS2 data. We have admin/pastoral staff who have to report data to agencies but do not necessarily have access to marksheets. By selecting the student, choosing "assessment" from the link panel, not enough info is showing. Should I be ticking in something, somewhere? Help is much appreciated.
MattMitchell Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 They might need to change the dates to view the older ks2 assessments. Probably the best way, would be to make an individual report that you could attach as a linked document so that people can have a more user-friendly view
SouthCoastSaint Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Make sure show all is ticked, then put the from date back to 2009 or similar and refresh, they should all be together down the bottom. 1
PhilNeal Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The pupil teacher view has KS data if you want to it on a pupil by pupil basis.
PrettyWoman Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Hi SouthCoastSaint. Thank you for the advice; worked a treat.
bobsmith Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 The other trick is to create groups of students that they need to look at, attach the staff members to the group, then attach a marksheet to them. Works well so far with my SEN department. The issue is the standard presentation of the assessments page is a horrible mess and information overload to boot! I like the idea of just knocking up some individual reports and storing them, it's not like the data will change. Just remember that with all the changes to KS2 different year groups will have different data items to report on.
PrettyWoman Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 I agree with you bobsmith - there is a definite information overload going on, and some of our staff are not technically inclined and want a quick answer. Might try your suggestion about groups of students and see how they go. Cheers.
bobsmith Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The pupil teacher view has KS data if you want to it on a pupil by pupil basis. @PhilNeal, Do you mean if we assign KS aspects manually to the assessment key indicators, or is there something I'm missing on the student teacher view?
PhilNeal Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 @bobsmith it is possible to configure the Pupil Teacher view to show aspects and RAG them.
bobsmith Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 @PhilNeal, so we are referring to the "assessment key indicators" - there is a limit of 6 which appears to be hard coded - so if you are using them for something more immediately useful you can't also use them for KS2 data. The RAG appears to come from colouring within the marksheets (if you've set it up and calculated it).
