Kyle Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I need to re-install server 2003 on this Proliant ML370. It is going to be used purely as a print server. When the install gets to around 36 minutes the display goes off. i think i have seen this before when Windows could not relate to the AGP device? How do i get around this as i am off site with no AGP card with me. Also i have downloaded the SCSI drivers from the HP site and i get the option to choose 3, it warned me that these were newer than Windows so i chose these. But i can't seem to work how how to configure the raid to Raid5. It seems it was previously configured as 3 separate drives.
klawd Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Are you booting from the HP CD, copying the source and installing the proper way or, are you installing manually (booting off the windows 2003 CD) ?

Ditto & an ML370 for a dedicated print server? I thought I was the only one that went over the top like this HBJB
john Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 You want to get the SmartStart CD from the HP Site, download that, burn it and boot it, follow it through makes a perfect job of installing it, drivers, HP bits and bobs the lot. That will solve it.
Kyle Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 SmartStart CD from the HP Site Never heard of it, searched the HP site and can't find it but don't really know what i'm looking for. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
