Steam update server...? Can it be done!?

Hey Guys,

So nowadays I tend to not hardly turn my gaming rig on but when I do and I go to play a game Steam is all like "No-no wait for 14 updates to occur first" which as you can imagine with a standard broadband connection it doesn't exactly sort this out quickly!

I actually have a HP Microserver with 4TB of storage, is there any possible way I can set it up so that the MicroServer always downloads the latest updates from Steam and then when I turn my computer on it transfers the update via LAN to my gaming rig? This would be a much more convenient solution for me!!

Or if you have any other suggestions as to what I can do I'm all ears!!

Thankyou :)

You could have your server download the games/updates then copy the steam cache folder over to your gaming rig when you turn it on , as it's the same steam account logged in won't be any issues .
