Low Profile PCI-e 1.1 Dual port Graphics Cards

As the title says, I'm looking for about 6 of the above cards for some Acer Veriton X275's that I need to run dual screens on. Preferably VGA and DVI but could run HDMI with an adaptor.

 

Any resellers lurking on here got anything suitable (cheap and cheerful appreciated) or does anyone have any suggestions. It's for finance and HR so blistering games performance not an issue.

Thanks for that, looks ideal. Excuse my nievity on this as I rarely do hardware, the spec of the card says PCI-e 2.0 whereas the motherboard spec on the X275's says PCI-e 1.1

 

Is that going to be a compatibility issue or will it work fine all be it a bit slower?

It is backwards compatible with 1.1. It will work, just slower

Our NVS quadros are brilliant, but in this case tey might now be ideal as they only offer 2xVGA or 2xDVI not one of each.

 

I can probably get you the nVidia 210 for around the £24 mark also. It's Very basic but should do.

 

However depending on how your pc has it's pcie slots arrayed, you might not be able to to use all three connections in low profle mode. Traditionally only HP have enough space for a double width card in an sff. I know Dell & lenovo are tricky because the VGA connection would be where the hard disc wants to be.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Going to go for the 210's as they will only be running Excel their entire life, just checked in a case and appears to be plenty of room both sides of the slot, worst case I'll disable the front USB slots by taking out that cable.

 

Misco will do them for me for £20 inc so will go there

Are you planning on using the VGA?

 

The 210's usually come with a low profile bracket similar on this one.

 

 

If you have this bracket and it's an x16 card it's not going to fit in that chassis

 

However you can take the bracket off and disconnect the vga port, but it's not gonna be too stable.

 

Having said that there is a model that comes with 2 x low profile brackets, one for the card and one for the vga breakout. If you get that you should be fine, so long as you ditch the vga.
