Proxy setting Failing to go out Via GPO

Hi All

 

anyone had issues with GPO to pushing out Proxy setting. we have it set to send out the proxy via GPO to the REG of each User. yet IE11 say no proxy detected , Chrome on the same unit works , ? we did have AB tutor running i pulled that out in case it was that but not the case, we running Policy central and Sophos which also seem to have a strange issue that staff see the students AUP even tho in staff group and AUP on them is set to Hide..

How are you doing this in GPO? Via GPP?

GPP Regedit is the way to go. I've written about this previously if you search Edugeek.

 

The issue with importing it via a script, is that users may see a UAC prompt each time they logon, so it's not 100% silent, whereas GPP is.

if youre doing it via gpp make sure after you've filled in the boxes the underline goes green (push f6) if its red it wont apply
