Dogsbody23 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hi Everyone, One of my users is having an issue with Outlook 2013, She is sending out big mail shots for advertising. She is sending the email to herself and bcc the mailing list in (we know about the 500 recipient limit we are only sending 450). It has been working for a long time now but it has just started to error when sending the email, popping up saying "Operation Failed". Has anyone else run into this issue? Any help you can give will be appreciated. Regards Dogs
seahorse Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I've seen similar errors to this in Outlook when a mailing list is corrupt. Have you tried editing the mailing list and re saving it?
Dogsbody23 Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 The email addresses are in a big excel file. They are being copied from there to the bcc, we have tried a different selection of emails but we are still getting the same problem
Jawloms Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Could be worth pasting it in to Notepad to strip out any formatting, and to read through it manually to check for a missing ; or ,
seahorse Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 And as far as you can see the bcc field looks normal when populated? eg. [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; Space between the semi colon and the next address.
Dogsbody23 Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Yes the bcc field is being populated normally, outlook is spacing all the emails out correctly
Jawloms Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Try it in lumps of 50 (just this once) and see if it's a particular address?
Dogsbody23 Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Found the problem. She hit the email cap, she sent 10,000 emails in one day.
