Hello,

We're changing our email provider from our local council to an on-site exchange server. At the moment, the local council provide two web app options.

Squirrel Mail and RoundCube.

Does anyone know a way (without adding the accounts to outlook) to export/forward bulk emails across at once?

Lots of staff have 'many very important emails' and 'don't have the time' to forward individual emails.

Thanks!

We had an old email box running here, which had a Squirrelmail client. That just acted as an SMTP/IMAP client, so for migration to our new system (also Exchange 2013) we just used Thunderbird for each pair of accounts, and copied and pasted them between. Was a horrible job, but we couldn't get any automatic/batch procedures to run. We only did it for SLT - other staff were given an extra two years of access to the old box, then we killed it. Those 'essential' emails left on the old system were only accessed once or twice in the whole time. Edited by 3s-gtech

Precisely. It handled the job pretty well, but you have to verify each directory (most of the content had been sorted into folders, these had to be copied and pasted one by one) as there's a practical limit to the amount of mail that would move in one operation. If a mail folder was 4GB, it needed breaking down into chunks.
