Digiblue QX5 microscope drivers

Thanks for responding. I was able to install the drivers but when I'm to use the microscope, a message came on saying that the microscope is not plugged in. I tried plugging at different USB plugs, repair/uninstall/install the drivers but nothing worked. Can you help?

What version of windows are you using as the digiblue will only work on x86.

I have windows 10. The program loads but the microscope is not being recognized.

Is it 64bit windows 10 or 32bit windows 10. Because if it 64bit windows 10 the drivers that come with the software will not work. You might want to check device manager if it is installed if it is uninstall the driver and see if windows picks up any from its self.

It's windows 10-64 bit. I've uninstalled but it didn't recognize the microscope. I guess that its really not compatible. I know it works with the windows 7, (? bit, 32 maybe).

yeah it is definitely 32 bit as it was built in the days of XP

I had to build a Windows XP virtual machine so they could run it under Windows 7 other than that under Windows 10 you might have to forget them. Had the same problems with the digicams from IntelPlay.

I have a x64 driver that works fine on Windows 10 x64 with the native Digi Microscope app.... I was quite surprised!

How do I install these drivers. I tried to copy them into the DigitalBlue -> QX5 Microscope -> Drivers -> DriverV1 directory- even clicked on the DPinst.exe file. Device Manager still shows no driver

Manually update the microscopes drivers in device manager, once done, grab it from the driver store and deploy it via gpo or build it into the windows iso....

Hi All,

resurrecting an old thread for any small schools who still have these devices and cant download Accura2k7's package.

My institution firewall prevents me from connecting to any of the file sharing services so I had to find this solution another way.

 

This is working on Windows 10 (1709) x64.

 

If you have the Software installer you may be in luck, for me the 64bit drivers were a few levels deep inside the MSI, however appear to be unused during install.

 

In your install media folder you should hopefully have:

Setup.exe

Drivers.cab

QX5.cab

System.cab

Digital Blue QX5 Microscope.msi

 

Use 7-Zip to open the "Digital Blue QX5 Microscope.msi" file.

You should see a folder "InstallDriverV2Vista64"

Open that folder and scroll way down until you find the file "Data1.cab"

Open that file in 7-zip (double click on it) and you should see three files: "marsqx5.cat", "marsqx5.inf" and "marsqx5.sys".

Extract those three files to a folder.

You can right click in the "marsqx5.inf" to install the driver.

You can also script install the driver with pnputil.exe which should already be part of your computer system.

pnputil /add-driver "C:\Where_I_Put_The_Drivers\marsqx5.inf" /install

 

Hope that helps anyone else stuck like I was.

Still fonder of the best possible solution; pick up device, throw in nearest WEEE disposal facility, replace with . Time and effort worth far, far more than those aging devices that shouldn't see light of day again.

Not sure on full blown microscopes but those little egg ones from TTS are pretty awesome for price & performance.

Thanks y'all. I'm running Windows 10 Pro on an HP ZBook. I downloaded and installed the 64 bit drivers with the QX5 plugged in then installed the QX5 software and it all works fine! The microscope's a little lame but the alternative was throwing it out and buying a new one so I count this as a win! Thanks again for the software and drivers.

I have recently bought a Qx5 microscope but cannot seem to access a driver to run it. I have a laptop with Windows 10 and another with XP. Can you advise me where to get one from that is safe to download.

It's 2020 and people are still trying to use these... please, put them in your WEEE bins and spend a small amount of money on something far far superior and will actually work.
