Enhanced Protected Mode stops re-directed favourites from working

This is an issue for my Win8 Machines but the "Enhanced Protected Mode also limits the locations Internet Explorer can read from in the registry and the file system" this is probably why my favourites are no longer working... They show up but when you go to use them ie remains static!

 

Does anyone know an acceptable location for re-directed favourites at the moment I just re-direct to the users area in a folder called favorites. (American spelling)

 

I've disabled Enhanced mode for now but would like it left on..
