sidewinder Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 We've just had 7 4065 Smart Interactive TVs installed, and I'm having problems with the software I've been installing Smart 2015 on each, and some are fine, but others have an issue where although the touch works perfectly, I cannot write anything in Smart Notebook 15 - well I can, and it appears on the preview page on the left hand side but the sheet itself stays completely blank, whether I write with a pen, mouse, with the smartboard connected or disconnected. Screenshot attached to show what I mean - the preview on the left I'd written on the main page. Any ideas?
3s-gtech Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 More than possible it's a software issue with the SMART software, but could you check for updated graphics drivers too?
ass17 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Don't know if it will cause an issue but did you notice that you smart product driver tray icon suggests that the whiteboard is not connected. I'm running 14.2 and it works for me, but the newer versions of smart notebook rely more on hardware rendering so best to update graphic card or turn off hardware rendering in notebook options somewhere. To disable hardware acceleration: Select Edit > Preferences. The SMART Notebook Preferences dialog box appears. Press General. Clear the Use hardware acceleration to increase the speed of SMART Notebook software check box. Press OK. Edited August 30, 2015 by ass17
sidewinder Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Turns out it was the graphics drivers after all - updated them on the affected machines (fairly old ones) and all is ok
