Moodle 2.9 problem

I've built a new install of 2.9 and am trying to restore courses from 1.9. Some go fine, but anything over about 20mb doesn't. The blue bar gets to about 95% then sits there doing nothing. Can anyone suggest any solutions or anything I can do to diagnose?

What is your maximum upload size? Site administration > Security > Site policies ?

What secretlife said. Also, check the file size limit in the php.ini file.

check if the 1.9 courses have any assignments on them. If they do then check here:
