localzuk Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 So, HP appear to be working to separate out the HP and HPE stuff ready for their split. However, it also seems that they have broken the ability to get drivers. If I go the support site and put in the HP DL380e Gen8, I get a link to click. I click the link and it gives me a link to click for downloads and drivers. Clicking that link sends me back to the search results page. Is anyone able to actually get to the driver pages for Proliant servers? I kinda want to get the latest drivers and firmware installed over this holiday!
computer_expert Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 DL380e: http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5258668&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4168 Seemed a bit of a kerfuffle to get there, but the above link seemed to work for me
localzuk Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 That link sends me to a page with "The product you selected is not supported by HPSC or is not a valid product. Please choose another product." on it.
computer_expert Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 That's odd. The links below are for server 2012 R2 http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5258668&swItemId=MTX_b779b75772904a9f877bd51345&swEnvOid=4168 http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5258668&swItemId=MTX_f36e5785a3c54d96abe646298b&swEnvOid=4168 There are too many to list (over 50) - have you tried using something like HP's smart update tool (if you can get it)?
localzuk Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Those 2 links work fine. I don't really want to install any specific tools on the servers - no need when we do our updates periodically and we don't have many physical servers to worry about. I think I'll leave it until I get back from my holiday and hope the HP site is working properly again.
john Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Would it not just be easier to get the HP SPP disk which is released quarterly and gives you a defined baseline and you just mount that and off you go? That is assuming you have valid support on the hardware which is a requirement for most of these items.
m25man Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I feel your pain, it's a total mess I'm sure they could have done this so the old site remained available whilst the switch took place. Finding anything on HP Support is neigh on impossible to find at the moment.
Arthur Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 The latest SPP is on HPs public FTP site... ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/cd-generic/p67859018/v110210/SPP2015060.2015_0605.106.iso
