New invite train? Choo choo!!

 

(I don't actually want a OP2 so don't add me to the list. Well, I do. But I'm not buying one just yet. Got other things to save up for. Planning to actually have a holiday next year)

Lol! I've just had a OnePlus Two invite land in my emails. It's only got 24hrs on it though so I'm going to take a look at it when I get home, and if I decide not to buy, I'll PM everybody in this thread. First one who replies gets it. (It's a 24-hour invite so waiting around for @rad to respond may result in it expiring.. But @rad gets first dibs if they are online :p)

Yeah my friend offered me his one he got today as well, bit silly on the 24 hours thing.. I've always hated how they try to make it 'exclusive' :p I'll be getting one later in the year.

Now, now, @jmak, obey the etiquette of the train :p first one goes to @rad (who, if I don't decide to buy tonight, will get a PM offering it, and I'll probably give him about two hours to respond before I ship the offer to someone else)

I've messaged @rad and I'm giving him/her until 7AM tomorrow to get back to me. If I've gotten no reply by then, I message the rest of you and the first to reply gets it.

 

As per the rules of the train, @rad, of course, is charged with passing on their next invite to @jmak, @jmak gives their invite to @fiza, @fiza to @TomDrummer, @TomDrummer to @rpettit

 

Any additional invites are fair game, if you get two invites you're only required to share one, but sharing more is nice if you can't find anyone interested before the expiry time (for example, I'm not going to buy, so I'm passing my invite on)

Mods: editing posts on mobile seems to always delete them.

 

So @jmak couldn't use my code as it is tied to my email address. So I figured I'd order it and sell it off to one of you guys, or if all else fails, eBay.

 

Can't deliver to my country apparently. One item in my basked is out of stock. The phone itself. So they're giving out 24-hour invites when they don't even have stock? Not exactly the best service..

The bit about tying the invite to the recipient... well that's annoying, but their perogative. To not even have stock for invited purchasers is just poor.

 

So, Nexus 5 on 29th September anyone?

Managed to get the order off. Is done. I may decide to keep hold of it if I can find a fitness band that doesn't use NFC, but I feel I may have to shell out in three figures for that one. With going to the gym/trying to lose weight, it helps me to see if I'm making progress or not, so I do wanna keep that functionality.

 

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame, the invite only being redeemable by me. But then again, the two hasn't been out long. Maybe they're issuing invites for owners of the One to buy, and they'll issue shareable invites later? I dunno.

 

Might have a tiny play about with the phone, just to have a look, but maybe not (and certainly not if I agree to flog it to anyone here :)). If anyone wants to take it off my hands, I'd be willing to sell it. I bought just the 64GB handset + Shipping = £298.99 GBP. So, that, plus postage, plus some gratis if you're feeling nice :p There's a fair few of them on eBay at a markup, but I have no idea if those are actually selling, so it may not be worth putting it up there. Just mulling ideas around at the moment.

Just had the email from DHL, the OnePlus Two should be here tomorrow. I literally do not mind, in the slightest, making zero profit on it if anyone in the train wants to buy it from me (I've sold stuff on here before, so you know I'm legit :)) just pay for the extra postage and we're good :)

 

Only reason I bought it was to pass it on, since my invite wasn't shareable.

 

If not I'll drop it on fleaBay

It has not arrived yet. I dun'goof'd and the DHL email was letting me know it was on its way from China xD

 

I won't be using it when it arrives. I'm still 100% satisfied with my One and can't justify the cost of upgrading yet. I bought it because my invite wasn't shareable. The plan is to sell it to someone in this queue who's waiting for an invite. I did try to pass the invite on but it could only be redeemed by the email address it was sent to (i.e. me) and given that it's financy-stuff I wasn't keen on giving someone else access to my account.

 

So far nobody has raised their hand and said "I'll buy it!" (I'm not even looking to make a profit, literally I'm just a man-in-the-middle* so that someone doesn't have to wait as long) so I'm hoping I don't get left out of pocket. I could throw it on eBay but I'll make a loss on it that way because eBay will take their cut and so will PayPal, so that's last-resort.

 

* Though not in the sense we usually encounter that phrase, I promise :)
